Superior SpiderMan #26 eBook Dan Slott Pasqual Ferry Ryan Stegman
For the longest time I complained about how I thought Dan Slott was dragging Superior Spider-Man out because it took me a while to realize that the Superior title was about more than just Otto taking over Peter's body. That was the catalyst for the title, but it's become something more; it's simply become the new Spider-Man. So while Peter's conscious being tucked away in Otto's mind will always be a part of the ongoing narrative, it isn't something Slott is in a rush to finish. It's funny that I bring this up in this review because issue 26 does actually deal directly with Peter's consciousness. There's not much to it, but it's nice and uplifting and serves as a strong reminder that Peter is still there and he's far from finished.
I still greatly anticipate Parker's glorious return, but the Goblin stuff has gotten so good that I'm more than happy in the mean time. All hail the Goblin King.
